Hi guys! I have a week of waiting until my surgery, so I decided it was better to spend the time working than worrying.
I am finishing up an order for an extremely patient customer. She had bought one of my "heads" for her hat shop and wanted 3 more.
Today I am painting the hair. Please pardon my extremely messy work table! My cancer diagnosis has had a positive effect on me. I am now no longer going to put off making my "art" in favor of just making things to sell. I have decided that life is short and with no guarantees so I need to go for it now!
I bought the book "Art at the Speed of Life" by Pam Carriker the other day. Mixed media and right up my alley. She has tips on how to MAKE time for making art daily.
So I am finishing this order and cleaning my studio and clearing the decks and diving in!
I hope to be sharing my things once I get going, so stop back and see what I have been up to. (Please say a prayer that my hysterectomy "gets everything" and THANK YOU!)

Hope and joy no matter what we can find it. Cancer is such a thief. You are going to get through this and be better tor it. Grab on to life and create. I love Jenny Doh's Art Saves.
I'll be praying starting today. If you share the day of surgery I will light a candle.
May you be surrounded by the light and strength of Jesus.

Thank you Genie! My surgery is May 27th.
I was having problem sleeping tonight, i've been having this throat problem, but have an appointment tomorrow to see what's going on. Well, because I couldn't sleep, I decided to go blog hopping. That's how I found your blog. I love your heads . . . you are so creative and they are quite unique. I love things that are not cookie cutter and same, same, if you know what I mean.
I am adding you to my prayers. I had a complete hysterectomy about twenty years ago and it was very successful. They got everything out and my life felt fresh and new again. Doctors can do wonders these days.
God bless you.
Your new blogging sister,
Connie :)
Oh sweetie,,,I missed your Cancer post...Crap, but here is the deal (Old nurse here) if you have to have a cancer..It's a good one to have. My neighbor has it, just had surgery, they don't do the big surgery anymore and she did great. They did find a tiny speck of cancer near a vein in her uterus so she opted to do chemo (Her choice) with almost 100% cure rate. Love those numbers. You just don't have time for this. I hate you have to go through this, you are on my prayer list...Know that we are all here for you 24/7!

My daily thoughts are prayers are with you. I will continue to pray until your return.
